A Message from the Founder of the Laporte Impact Group
The Future We Worked So Hard For Is Finally Here.
Announcing $3.6 Billion in Canadian-Led Development Projects. Canadian Entrepreneurs. Canadian Mining Companies. Canadian Natural Resources. Canadian Land Owners. Canadian Farmers. Canadian Real Estate Developers. Canadian Home Owners. Canadian Technology Companies. Canadian Talent. Canadian Investors. Canadian Banks. Canadian Legal Team. Canadians Helping Canada; because obviously we can help ourselves.
As we enter 2026, I want to pause for a moment of reflection — and gratitude.
For 17 years, Neutopia has traveled across Canada and around the world to redesign how communities produce, use, and benefit from clean, reliable energy. Many of you have heard me say I’ve traveled over 1 million kilometers doing this work. The website shows a fraction of those journeys, but you all know those photos barely represent 1% of what we’ve actually done.
Despite the obstacles, despite the delays outside our control, despite the bureaucracy — you stayed with us. You believed in us long before the world cared about sustainability. You trusted us when we were creating concepts that did not exist anywhere else.
And for that, I am deeply grateful.
Thank You — To Every Community We Served
Thank you to:
- community leaders across Ontario and Canada
- the mining companies, critical-minerals projects, and oil sands teams
- industrial clients and manufacturing partners
- farms, greenhouses, and food producers
- long-term care homes and health facilities
- resort owners, hospitality operators, and remote communities
- and the homeowners who let us test ideas inside their living rooms
You supported us through delays caused by:
- utility interconnection queues
- government processing bottlenecks
- subcontractor issues
- global supply-chain interruptions
- funding program suspensions
- and the countless challenges of attempting innovative change in a system designed not to change
Thank you for your patience. Thank you for your loyalty. Thank you for believing in a better future.
Announcing a New Era for 2026
After nearly two decades of development, testing, education, and field work, we are proud to announce:
Neutopia has entered a development affiliation with a strategic partner, LEDIC.
This launches a new national clean-infrastructure program, with:
- Over $3.6 billion in development projects
- Active opportunities across multiple provinces
- The first licensing of our ERS™ (Efficiency, Resilience & Sustainability) System
- A national expansion that requires zero taxpayer money
- Zero government applications and zero utility-company delays for host sites to engage
- Government participation is allowed, communities absolutely may engage and benefit from site evaluations and actual development. WE DO NOT DO STUDIES. The time for studies is over. We do active development; real projects, real opportunities, real integration of technologies and processes.
framework that can be deployed immediately, without waiting months or years for approval. In fact, we’re so excited to release our videos in 2026 with host site owners sharing their stories; $500K within days of signing. That’s just unheard of, even in real estate. It’s a completely new way of doing business, and a new way of developing projects period. It’s every banks dream, every homeowner and business owner’s dream, and perhaps most importantly a giant welcome to every community leader who has ever complained about how slow existing processes are. Money in the bank and feet on the ground within days. Boom.
A Wave of New Jobs & New Opportunities
This influx of mega-projects comes with an influx of major investment.
In 2026, we will begin:
- Hiring Provincial Managers across every province
- Onboarding hundreds of new Ambassadors
- Establishing regional development teams
- Launching national training sessions
- Partnering with educational institutions once again
Our Ambassador model — tested over 17 years — is returning with full force.
We remain truly grateful to the many colleges and universities that gave us a platform to teach sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship, and especially Humber College, Canada’s largest college, which went further and allowed students to earn academic credit working with us on real projects.
This hands-on collaboration with engineers, students, and community leaders helped shape the foundation of what we are launching today. And special thanks to Yonsei University who, as far back as 2012, worked so hard with us to try to launch Canada’s first Green Scholarship program, only to be turned away by local bureaucracy, leaving me feeling so disappointed in our own system. It was a scholarship program from a Canadian company; we beat Google, Apple, Facebook, Microsoft, and even any local big business. We did it. And it fell apart due to local politics. Well guess what, that’s changing once again with our 2026 Initiative.
Change is a wall — and innovators must be willing to break through it.
That is why our Laporte Impact Group is so innovative and will be leading a completely new national program unlike anything that has ever been presented.
New National Initiatives
Without revealing confidential details, here are some of the initiatives we will be rolling out in 2026:

Seventeen Years of Breaking Down Walls
Looking back, some of our earliest projects still inspire me:
- 2009 – A small town near Brockville, Ontario, where we came up with innovative ideas on how to solve the regional landfill problem in one meeting — and were immediately engaged to investigate what could be done.
- 2010 – The world’s first Green Mining EcoPark concept for the Ring of Fire — solving energy, transport, resiliency, and First Nations engagement challenges that others said were impossible. Historical ideas to ensure the future of mining would benefit the local populations.
- 2011 – Investigated Canada’s forestry sector and came up with Canada’s first ever Bio-Economy competition to harness our untapped resources and convert into generational wealth. Ideas were presented in Thunder Bay at conference attended by Minister of Northern Development, Mining, and Forestry.
- 2011 – following a presentation in Thunder Bay on a $400M Neutopia EcoPark vision for the Ring of Fire, Robert Laporte was honoured by First Nations Elders with a ceremonial staff, often understood as a “staff of wisdom.” This sacred gift symbolizes respect, responsibility, and a shared commitment to developing clean energy solutions that align with the land, community well-being, and the long-term prosperity of the region.
- 2012 – A prestigious High Rise Condo Tower project in Toronto — where over $1.2 million in annual energy savings were presented as Laporte’s motivation to run for the Board of Directors (A Brookfield Managed Building).
- 2014 – Community Housing — where an innovative sustainability proposal revealed how local rebates and utility-managed programs dominated decision-making when non-rebate opportunities actually result in exponentially greater financial savings to the building owners.
- 2018 – A First Nations community that required three months of wording changes just to fit into federal templates, only to see the projects go dormant due to delays and lack of funding. This inspired the Neutopia First Nations same day 1-page approval process via privately managed programs, for the same technologies promoted by mainstream programs and much more
- Thirteen Phase 1 ecoPark approvals in one evening by a municipal council in Ontario — demonstrating forward-thinking communities can win when united with common goals.
- When Ontario cancelled the Green Energy feed-in-tariff program, Neutopia pivoted back to original ecoPark concepts and reached out to private businesses and private landowners. We eliminated red tape and bureaucracy that often drags down or kills great ideas. Working privately, we originated, engineered, funded, and built some of Canada’s most historical amazing feats of integrated clean energy technological achievement. Today Ai explains that what Neutopia did almost 10 years ago was actually some of the most advanced hybrid microgrid and smart neighbourhood ecoSystems on the planet. One project had a dozen engineering firms involved, and several electrical and HVAC companies, each team designated a separate project, with compartmentalized electrical, mechanical, and chemical engineering needs, labour crews, and different zoning, permitting, approvals.
- 2023 – Neutopia was selected as the ‘behind the scenes’ tech company to work on a local Government contract to design, engineer, build, and commission one of the most unique vertical farming systems in Canada. Working alongside one of the most advanced professors of engineering & sustainability in Canada, this innovative system is 100% off-grid. 100% renewable energy, energy storage, full security, full systems monitoring in the palm of your hand. A demonstration to every school board member and hospital board member and especially every member of a retirement community and long term care home that fresh organic nutritiously dense delicious food can be grown for free, anywhere, anytime. Every community can have a Neutopia ecopark to do this, in a grander scale, and entire neighbourhoods can benefit. Fully funded privately, no tax-payer funds, no studies needed. Ready for development at any address in Canada.
- 2024 – Neutopia tests smallest scale residential market, even tiny homes and one gentleman who lived in his van. Neutopia realized immediate interest as a uniquely branded sustainability business that even attracts the residential market. Net zero and off-grid or semi-off-grid hybrid energy homes, self resilient for electrical and heating needs. Starting forming relationships with networks of Tradespeople and realizing the opportunity to use our Hybrid Micro-grid ecoParks as training grounds for a new generation of tradespeople in Canada – embracing ideas not promoted by utility companies or traditional rebate programs.
- 2025 – Neutopia starts spin-off into multiple companies to manage different aspects of project development and lifecycle of project fruition. Immediately engaged to expand electrical network and smart technology to build what will be one of the smartest neighbourhoods in Canada (our 3rd such project)
These experiences gave birth to our greatest achievement:
The ERS™ System — one of the most valuable ESG frameworks ever created for real-world projects.
And now, after 17 years, it enters its first licensing agreement — at a scale none of us could have imagined:
$3.6 billion in active development projects.
I am so happy my parents are still here to witness all of this.
Ongoing Projects & Our Host Sites
We still have a wide range of projects ongoing at various stages, and while my personal time has been pulled into building this new national framework, we will now have far more power to effectively deal with ESA, utilities, permitting, and other issues that have plagued even the smallest of development projects.
To all of our host sites: thank you for your patience.
A Better Way for New Housing & Community Projects
Another initiative we are launching is our New Housing Initiative, which combines the best of existing programs with our philanthropic arm to enable exceptional development on bare land, new housing, and housing expansions.
Forget HELOC loans or complex application cycles — there is a better framework being launched and already available to select parties.
We are also launching our own Community Infrastructure & Support Programs for seniors and a special program for First Nations communities, and a unique program for Canadian communities with less than 10,000 population. Simple Same Day Approval system. No more months of paperwork and coordination with offices that rarely return phone calls and no more long waiting periods. The time for studies and waiting is over. We had decades of studies. We cannot stress this enough.
Approval takes one page and less than an hour.
One Zoom meeting. Zero government applications.
Seventeen Years in the Field (A Glimpse)
Our website photos barely show one percent of the work we’ve done because we learned our lessons in the early years about competition. We’ve done things most people still don’t even realize is possible, and when we meet with our clients we show them a 6-inch binder filled with pictures and references from happy clients all over. Our goal is to create a documentary, as a follow up to the one we did in 2003, to showcase that we’ve done everything we’ve accomplished. Who knows, maybe it will be on Netflix someday!
(A new website will be created for the new family of companies and will be continuously updated now that we’re going through expansion and taking on more and more projects. We’ve already added tons of photos and montages of dozens of pictures of various project sites, but still it’s a small drop in the bucket compared to what we show our clients and partners directly.)

The Launch Event — Coming Soon
In 2026, our goal is to host a national event inspired by Apple Launch Days — a high-energy, high-impact celebration of the future of Canadian sustainability.
Think: A community of like-minded investors and game-changers meeting for a dinner like a wedding party, where ACDC energy meets sustainability. The most exciting sustainability company you’ve never heard of is about to get MUCH, MUCH LOUDER.
We will unveil new projects, new partnerships, new regions, and a roadmap that will change the trajectory of Canada’s energy future.
Closing Message
To everyone who believed in us:
Thank you. From the smallest residential client to the largest mining operation — from community leaders to engineers, farmers, and students — from our early supporters to our newest partners —
This next chapter belongs to all of us.
The future we worked so hard for is finally here.
